Mobile Brake Pad Replacement

Brake Pads and Drum Brakes

  • Brake pads and drum brakes wear down with use.  They are designed this way to facilitate a vehicle being able to come to a full and complete stop.

  • You might notice a high-pitched squeal when you are coming to a stop.  This is usually an indicator that it is time to re-do your brakes.  Your brakes might also feel "squishy" making it harder to stop than normal.

Brake Rotors

  • Rotors are the metal plate that brake pads and discs press against in order to create the friction needed to stop a vehicle.  These can become damaged or warped with use and heat.

  • Rotors should be replaced, as a pair, every 30,000-70,000 miles
